History & Background
The New Life Ministries International is an Indigenous Pentecostal, Charismatic Church, born in the month of June, 1993 after our Founder and General Overseer, in the person of the then Rev. J. Archibald Cole hosted a four-day Crusade in the East End of Free-town, Sierra Leone, West Africa. The Church started with 15 persons; (eight adults and seven children) who attended the first service. Since then, our General Overseer then focused on the Apostolic Assignment of producing quality disciples who in turn became fruit producers. God in His faithfulness has blessed the ministry. From a very humble beginning, the New Life Ministries International formerly New Life Ministries Church of God in Christ has now become a thriving and one of the cutting edge ministries in our beloved country Sierra Leone. “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.” Job 8: 7 There were challenges as expected, turbulent times, persecutions, accusations, alienations, etc. But the gates of hell has never been able to prevail. To GOD be the glory, great things He has done.

New Life Ministries International is a mission-focused ministry. Since its inception in June 1993, New Life Ministries has planted more than ninety other fellowships in all four regions of the nation of Sierra Leone.
As a mission-oriented church, New Life Ministries International has been intensely involved in evangelistic and church-planting missions. Apart from the main headquarter church located in the east end of Freetown, Sierra Leone; more than ninety other fellowships have been planted also in all of the four regions of our beloved country.
There are many unreached people and groups deep in the inter-land that have not yet been reached. As we pray that the Lord of the harvest will send more laborers and provide the needed resources, we shall gladly partner with those who feel led by the Holy Spirit to fulfill this end-time harvest. Belief & Values
We believe the One True God has revealed Himself as the Eternally Self-Existent I AM That I AM, the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as the three (3) separate and distinct personalities, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit or the Trinity of the Godhead, who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed and function as one entity.
Jesus Christ who is God manifested in the flesh is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal, and co-eternal with The Father and The Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22).
We believe that the Bible, the accepted Canon of the Sacred Scriptures, is a Supreme Revelation of God to man, superior to conscience and reason, though not contrary to reason and is, therefore, our Infallible, Authoritative rule of faith and practice (John 17: 17; Romans 12: 1-2; II Timothy 3: 15; I Thessalonians 2: 13; II Peter 1: 19-21).
The New Life Cathedral
In 1999 the New Life Ministries International leased a parcel of land from the City Council of Freetown. The land was popularly known as “MANDELA”. After the consummation of that lease agreement, we realized that the squatters consisting of drug peddlers, hooligans, gamblers and the like who by then were occupying the land refused to be evicted. They engaged all levels of political manipulation and demonic operations to frustrate and cause us to abandon this God-Ordained vision.
But the word that The LORD gave to our General Overseer was, “As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 3: 9. With faith and determination, we patiently waited for The Lord. In July 2008, the squatters were evicted from the land and it was renamed Miracle City. Miracle City is located on Ross Road just after the School Dental clinic at the Eastern end of Freetown the capital of Sierra Leone. On 21 December 2008, the Building Project for the erection of the Miracle Cathedral was formally launched. This is a 4,000-seater auditorium with complimentary offices and related structures. During the month of June 2015, as we celebrated our silver Jubilee as a ministry, the Miracle Cathedral was also formerly dedicated to the Glory of God.
The Miracle City
The Miracle Cathedral situated on Ross Road in Freetown, Sierra Leone, is the ultra-modern, state of the art international headquarters of New Life Ministries International (NLMI). Its construction in that part of Freetown is a dream come true for the founder, General Overseer and Presiding Bishop of NLMI, His Grace, Bishop (Dr.) J. Archibald Cole.
In his words, it was designed to sit more than five thousand (5,000) people. This gargantuan and magnificent edifice has an auditorium, an office complex, a conference room, a technical and media area, facilities for suckling mothers and handicaps, cafeteria and bookshop. The Presiding Bishop has further remarked that it is a one-stop-shop church auditorium noting that once you get in, you can access everything.
According to him, the Miracle Cathedral hosted in the Miracle City is an embodiment of God’s excellence and glory standing prominently in the east end part of Freetown, the capital city of Sierra Leone in West Africa. As an architectural imposition on the Sierra Leonean landscape, the Miracle Cathedral is shaped very much like a basilica, and better still, a theatre in the round with customized fixtures and fittings to reflect the spirit of excellence that has come to characterize the operations of NLMI. In the not-too-distant future, the Miracle Cathedral will be fitted with a modern theatre-like sound system.
In the auditorium proper, it has an open lower space and a huge gallery to accommodate as many worshippers as possible to the glory of the Lord. Accordingly, the customized sitting arrangements are made loosely to make room for different sitting positions as the occasion might demand. The chairs to be used are factory customized and are imported for the said purpose with a touch of excellence and finesse.
In the middle of the auditorium and descending in a cascading fashion from the ceiling are three golden-like chandeliers to add to the lighting effect that brightens that wide expanse of space as the Lord has commanded that he should be worshipped ln the beauty of his holiness. This beauty of an auditorium is also structurally sturdy with thirty (30) columns – Romanesque in their architectural design with an additional ten pillars providing the necessary support to the auditorium. This is in addition to fourteen full-lengths stained windows with seven on either side that provide a breath-taking appearance to the auditorium. This main auditorium can be accessed through seven-panel doors with three on both sides and the main entrance in the middle. In other words, the Miracle Cathedral is a rare combination of beauty and structure that is sure to attract many souls to the kingdom of God.
In its construction, the Miracle Cathedral has been in the works since 2009 and has been locally sponsored close to the tune of two (2) billion dollars. Such construction work has been fraught with many challenges including the challenge of securing the land, but there is much joy in seeing the outcome of years of tremendous effort with the Miracle Cathedral awaiting its inauguration and dedication to the glorious service of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World.
For many people, the Miracle Cathedral has the features of a stadium with great potential in the tourism industry to attract tourists from around the Globe. However, for the Presiding Bishop of NLMI, he would want the Miracle Cathedral to serve as a source of attraction for unbelievers to come to the Lord and also to serve as a lasting legacy for posterity to know that there was a generation that loved the Lord to the extent of investing so much for the Kingdom of God.

After you park, simply enter through the big doors at the front of the parking lot. We’ll have greeters at the door who will welcome you and take you to your seat.
At New Life, kids have their fun, engaging, and interactive service. Our Children’s team are all trained and have gone through background checks. Safety is our number one priority! You can check your kids in at the Children’s church.
Our services last approximately 3 hours every Sunday. We start with intercessory, then go into Praise and worship time followed by a warmly welcoming statement , Announcement, offerings & Tithes, Song ministration then go into an engaging message from Bishop J. Archibald Cole or one of the members of our teaching team. During the service, please feel free and make yourself comfortable worshipping with us you’re welcome.
At New Life Ministries, we want to live generous lives and invite people who support our mission to give as they feel led. We have no expectations for guests to give. But these are few scriptures that will show that giving is important (Malachi 3:8–9, Malachi 3:10–12, Proverbs 3:9–10). an offering was something you gave, but the tithe was something you owed.
